I think my gerbil has something in/on the side of its mouth, maybe like an abscess or tumour? My Gerbil is still quite lively but now and again he just stops and goes to sleep. He is still eating (but much slower than before) and he is also still drinking. I have crushed some of his food up so that the lump is not disturbed too much. I think it has been bleeding a little. I have rung the vets but they have no appointments until Monday. What is the best thing to do?

I am not a veterinarian. I merely reviewed Dr. Marie’s website here. Please go to Ask A Vet Online. Veterinary Advice for Dogs, Cats and More. and submit your question there.
